READING, Pa. – The Albright football team took a ride on the roller coaster of emotions in Friday night's season opener against Salisbury at Shirk Stadium.

The Lions jumped out to a 14-0 lead midway through the first quarter only to see Salisbury come back with 21 straight points. Williamsport, PA - It was Lycoming's opportunity to get back in the football game Saturday afternoon. Down by just four points to Albright in the third quarter, the Warriors had just forced a punt and had a chance to march for a go-ahead score.

As Lycoming tried to hit an underneath route like the one it had just scored on some three minutes prior, the ball deflected off receiver Pat Whalen's hands and into the waiting arms of Albright linebacker Steve Barroso. Four plays later, Albright was back in the end zone and Lycoming's hopes for a win were all but squashed.
