Lycoming Football DelVal Notes - The Ground Game, The Record Book and Seeing Double

So RB Len Wyda against King's.
The Ground Game
The Warrior running backs have persevered through injuries to show off one of the most eclectic and deep groups of running backs in the MAC. Three different Warriors - juniors Jacob Fimbres and Keith Batkowskiand sophomore Len Wyda - have run for at least 80 yards in a game, marking the first time since 2015 that the team accomplished that feat and the first time three Lycoming running backs have done that this century.

Looking at Lycoming vs Delaware Valley football for over 25 years

2015 - Jr RB Blake Bowman had a big rushing day against favored Delaware Valley.
It has been a series of momentum. In the eighties and nineties, the Lycoming College Warriors dominated the Dutchman of Delaware Valley. The Warriors had a 16 year winning streak that stretched from 1988 to 2002. In 1987, the Warriors and Dutchman played to a 7-7 tie. Also, Lycoming did not lose a game to the Dutchman for 20 years. That stretch was from 1983 to 2002.

2015 Flashback - Warriors score 22 in a row to upset No. 19 Delaware Valley, 43-42

RB Blake Bowman - "He works so hard," Clark said. "Blake is a really good kid. He prepares you want guys to prepare. The touchdown record is a direct result of how he prepares. To say he has scored more touchdowns in a season than any guy that has ever played here is pretty cool." (2015 File Photo by John Green)
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – As the Lycoming College men's soccer team wrapped up the celebration from its second MAC Commonwealth title in three years, the Lycoming College football team left its own mark on one of the most historic days ever at the Robert L. Shangraw Athletic Complex, with senior Matt Malecki (Stevensville, Md./Kent Island) grabbing an on-side kick with 56 seconds left and sophomore Devon Flynn (Levittown, Pa./Conwell-Egan Catholic) drilling a 32-yard field goal with five seconds to go to lift the Warriors to a 43-42 Middle Atlantic Conference upset over 19th-ranked Delaware Valley University at David Person Field on Saturday, Nov. 7.

Monday, November 9, 2015
Williamsport, PA - Junior running back Blake Bowman was overshadowed by the much needed upset victory over 19th ranked Delaware Valley. What was lost in all the fuss over the exciting win was the history that was made Saturday by Blake.

He scored two rushing touchdowns which launched him ahead in the school's single-season rushing touchdown mark. The previous mark of 13 was held by Tim Deasey (2001), Jason Marraccini (1997).
