Wright Selcted to D3football Team of the Week

DOYLESTOWN (PA) – The accolades continue to pour in for Delaware Valley University senior linebacker Nick Wright (Hatfield, PA/North Penn) as he was recently named to the D3football.com Team of the Week.


Wright notched 10 tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble, one safety and returned a fumble 70 yards for a touchdown in the Aggies’ 24-19, season-opening win over No. 11 Wesley College on August 31. The touchdown came in the second quarter with DelVal ahead 10-3, but Wesley driving into Aggie territory. The safety put the squad up 24-12 in the fourth quarter.

Wright as also named the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Defensive Player of the Week for his effort.

DelVal, which moved up eight spots to 12th in the latest D3football.com poll, will begin MAC play on Saturday, September 9 (1 p.m.) when the Aggies travel to Lycoming College.
