Reality has set in for me. I was looking forward to the 2021 Warrior Football season. So I took some photos at Lycoming’s scrimmage and the full scrimmage with Franklin & Marshall. But it did not go that well for this 76 year old Warrior fan. I could not stand long and at one point I had to go to the shade to recover from the heat. I can’t move up and down the sidelines like I did just two years ago. So I evaluated whether I could keep up with 10 games this year. The answer was so clear. The end of the road has come for me.
I have so many great memories of players and friendships with their families. I am going to miss presenting great catches, blocks, runs, tackles and celebrations. Most of all, I am going to miss you and your families who have been so kind to me.
I am indebted to Lycoming College for giving me an opportunity to come out of the Air Force and earn my degree in accounting. I want to thank the coaches over the years for putting up with me and my moods. As tears well up in my eyes, I am so thankful for all of you who have encouraged me through the years. I will always remember you!
So “Go Lyco” this season. Go get that dream of a Conference Championship. Understand that the end of the road comes eventually. Play your hearts out and do your best every game. That is all anyone could ask for.
Finally, I will miss you all! God bless.
Regards
