Devin Bierly joins Lycoming athletic communications staff

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – A three-year student assistant with the Lycoming College athletic communications department and a sports writer with the Williamsport Sun-Gazette for the past four years, Devin Bierly ’16 will join the athletic communications department at Lycoming as an assistant, Director of Athletics Mike Clark announced on Monday, August 15.

Bierly will assist Associate Athletic Director for Communications Joe Guistina in all aspects of the athletic communications department.

Bierly previously served as a student assistant at Lycoming from 2014 up until his graduation in 2016, working in a myriad of roles, including writing student-athlete biographies, helping with statistics during games, maintaining a weekly student-athlete alumni update during the summer and updating record books.


He also currently works at the Williamsport Sun-Gazette as a sports reporter and has served in that capacity since May 2013. He has covered state championship runs for a multitude of local sports teams, the Williamsport Crosscutters, the Little League World Series and has served as the Lycoming men’s and women’s basketball team’s beat writer for the past four years.

A native of Williamsport, Bierly is a graduate of St. John Neumann High School. He graduated from Lycoming in 2016, earning a bachelor of arts in corporate communication.
