Warriors Announce 2019 Incoming Football Class

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – After reaching the postseason for the first time in 11 years in 2018, the Lycoming College football team will look to continue to build with an incoming recruiting class that features six all-state selections and 40 members, 12th-year head coach Mike Clark announced on Monday, May 27.


The Warriors welcome four all-state players on defense, led by two-time selection defensive lineman David Tomb (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore) and defensive end, Zac Cost (Dalton, Pa./Lackawanna Trail). Austin Rowley (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) also joins the team after earning all-state accolades as a senior after leading the state with 158 tackles, which also ranked seventh in the country, and Nathan Reedy (Schuylkill Haven, Pa./Schuylkill Haven) was a second-team all-state pick as a junior.

On the offensive side, running back Hunter Budman (Montgomery, Pa./Montgomery) will join the Warrior backfield after earning all-state honors as a returner as a senior. From New Jersey, tight end Matt Jaeger (Woodland Park, N.J./Passaic Valley) earned Third Team All-Group 4 honors as a defender. Honorable mention all-state quarterback Dylan Paul (Crown Point, In./Boone Grove) also joins the team from Indiana.

Kicker Cameron Griffin (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore Area) also earned all-state accolades.

In total, the incoming class features eight offensive linemen, five wide receivers, four running backs, two fullbacks, two tight ends and one quarterback. On the defensive side, the team welcomes 11 linemen, three defensive backs and five linebackers. A punter and a kicker are also included in the mix.

The Warriors finished 5-6 overall and 4-4 in the MAC, finishing fourth, to earn a berth in the Centennial-MAC Bowl series under Coach Mike Clark. The team opens the 2019 season on Saturday, September 7 when they head to Susquehanna University for a non-conference game at Amos Alonzo Stagg Field.

A four-year letterwinner as an offensive and defensive lineman at Richard Montgomery … an honorable mention all-county offensive lineman as a junior and senior … also a two-year letterwinner in track and field … finished 12th in county (37-02.75) and 10th in region (38-06) in shot put and 10th in county (107-01) and sixth in region (112-09) in discus as a senior.

Dan Beckley, DL, 6-0, 200, Montgomery, Pa./Montgomery
A three-year letterwinner as a defensive end and guard at Montgomery Area … 2018 NTL Lineman of the Year after posting 81 tackles as a senior … a two-time first-team all-league selection … also a one-year letterwinner in baseball and two-year letterwinner in wrestling ... placed fourth in section at 195 pounds as a senior.

Nick Breiner, RB, 5-10, 200, Tamaqua, Pa./Tamaqua
A four-year letterwinner at running back and linebacker for Tamaqua Area … finished career with school-record 3,798 rushing yards and 52 touchdowns … rushed for 1,341 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior to earn second-team all-league accolades … posted 1,304 yards and 16 scores, rushing for more than 100 yards seven times as a senior, earning first-team all-league, an Honorable Mention All-Eastern Pa. Football.com, and Times-News Running Back of the Year honors ... notched 122 career tackles, including 60 as a sophomore ... also a four-year letterwinner as an outfielder on the baseball team.

Austin Breon, DB, 6-3, 174, Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore
A two-year letterwinner as a wide receiver and safety at Jersey Shore Area … posted 50 tackles and six interceptions as a junior in 2016, earning all-district, all-league, all-area, all-region and all-state honors … also a three-year letterwinner as a sprinter with the track and field team ... finished second in 110-meter hurdles at district meet as a junior.

Domir Brown, DL, 5-10, 200, Coatesville, Pa./Malvern Prep
A three-year letterwinner as a tight end and defenive lineman at Malvern Prep … led team to three Inter-AC titles … played in the Valor Bowl Senior All-Star Game.

Hunter Budman, RB, 5-9, 175, Montgomery, Pa./Montgomery

Joey Guida, RB, 5-6, 180, Allentown, Pa./Parkland
A three-year letterwinner at running back and linebacker at Parkland … rolled up 435 yards and four touchdowns as a senior in just three games, rolling up more than 100 yards all three times … posted 995 yards and 11 touchdowns in career ... played in Lehigh Valley Senior All-Star Classic … also a three-year letterwinner in wrestling … went 17-10 and placed fourth in district and sixth in region at 152 pounds in 2018.

A two-year letterwinner as an offensive and defensive lineman at Middletown Area and two-year letterwinner at Bishop McDevitt … earned all-league honors as a center three times, taking first-team all-league honors as a junior and senior at Middletown and second team accolades as a sophomore at McDevitt … helped team reach state finals twice.

A three-year letterwinner as an offensive and defensive lineman at Middletown Area … a first-team all-conference offensive lineman and a team captain as a senior … also earned two letters each in baseball and basketball … a team member as a defensive lineman at Millersville University in 2015.

Aaron Wolcott, TE, 6-4, 205, Woodbine, Md./Century
A two-year letterwinner as a tight end at Century … a first-team all-league tight end and linebacker as a senior ... helped team win two league titles and go 10-0 in regular season as a senior … played with the West team in the Baltimore Touchdown Club All-Star Classic.
