Gooch welcomed to Lycoming’s athletic training staff

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Josh Gooch joined the Lycoming College athletic training staff on Aug. 1, director of athletics Mike Clark has announced.

Gooch, who will be an assistant athletic trainer, will give the Warriors a complement of three certified athletic trainers, which includes head athletic trainer Andrea Lucas and assistant athletic trainer Keri Matty.

Gooch spent the 2015-16 season as a graduate assistant at Lock Haven University, where he worked with the track and field and men’s soccer teams.

Gooch has also helped cover events at South Williamsport High School while also assisting with Lock Haven wrestling tournaments and several Lock Haven summer camps.

A certified athletic trainer, Gooch earned a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training from Lock Haven in 2015 and he will receive a Master of Science in Sport and Exercise Psychology in August 2016.
