HENNINGER NAMED COLLEGE'S "EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR"

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College athletic department’s administrative assistant, Esther Henninger, was announced as the college’s Employee of the Year by President Kent Trachte at the annual Staff Appreciation Day on Tuesday, May 24.

Henninger, who has worked at Lycoming College since 1977, is retiring at the end of June. Henninger has worked in the athletic department for 23 years, serving as the department’s greeter and organizer. A complete list of tasks that Henninger handled for the department would be impossible to compile, but she served as the department’s transportation and mail coordinator, cashier and facility scheduler.
The employee of the year award is given to the employee who exemplifies characteristics that include a spirit of volunteerism, collaboration, commitment and integrity, someone who has demonstrated excellent service, has made significant contributions to her department and the campus community and is an employee who acts as a mentor for others by providing advice, guidance and has a supportive attitude.
