WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Seniors Craig Needhammer (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) and Braden Zeiner (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall-Coplay) were each named the Middle Atlantic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for their efforts in the Lycoming College football team’s 31-10 win over Stevenson, the conference office in Annville, Pa., announced on Sunday, Oct. 5.

Needhammer reached one milestone and broke the school record for all-time points scored in the win over the Mustangs. He rushed 19 times for 113 yards and two scores, as he became the third running back in program history to reach 3,000 career rushing yards. His two scores, meanwhile, helped him surpass the mark of 222 career points set by kicker John Phillips (1989-92), as his school-record 38 touchdowns gives him 228 career points. He recorded 5.9 yards per rush against the Mustangs, which entered the game allowing an average of 2.2. In all, Needhammer posted three 20-yard rushes during the game to cross 100 yards for the fourth time in five games this year.

#71 Braden Zeiner (Image: John Green)
Zeiner seemed to be in on everything during Lycoming’s 31-10 win, finishing with nine tackles off the line, including one sack and 1.5 tackles for loss. Zeiner was key in helping hold the Mustangs to just 184 yards of total offense, including just 99 yards rushing on 41 carries.

The Warriors get back on the field on Saturday, Oct. 11, when they head to another undefeated opponent in Delaware Valley for a 12 p.m. kickoff in a key Middle Atlantic Conference game.
