WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior Tanner Troutman (Hegins, Pa./Tri-Valley), despite injuries keeping him from the field for three weeks this season, has earned a slot on the College Gridiron Showcase Watch List. The watch list is issued in conjuction with the 2015 CGS All-Star Football game.
Troutman is one of 25 Division III players on the list that is full of Division I FBS and FCS talent. The CGS is an all-star game drawing players from all three NCAA divisions. The game will feature scouts from National Football League (NFL), Canadian Football League (CFL) and the Arena Football League (AFL). It is scheduled for January 10, 2015 at 11 a.m. CST at Maverick Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas at Arlington.
Troutman, a senior defensive back, has 15 total tackles, including nine solo tackles, six weeks into the season. Last season, he was named a D3football.com, Beyond Sports Network and USA Football Network All-American. He is a two-time All-MAC player, and was named the 2013 D3football.com East Region Defensive Player of the Year.
The Warriors (5-1 overall, 4-1 MAC) get back on the field on Saturday, Oct. 25, when they host No. 14 Widener at 1:30 p.m. at David Person Field as part of homecoming weekend.
