Jr DB Tanner Troutman |
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Lycoming College junior Tanner Troutman (Hegins, Pa./Tri-Valley) earned his second Beyond Sports Network Athlete of the Week selection of the season after tying a school-record in the season finale at Stevenson, the website announced on Tuesday morning, Nov. 19.
Troutman became the first Warrior to post three interceptions in a game since Fred Bordley accomplished the same feat against Susquehanna on Sept. 15, 2007, helping the Warriors claim a piece of the 15th MAC title in school history with the 36-20 win over the Mustangs.
The Warriors (7-3 overall, 7-2 MAC) were led by Troutman all day, as he returned a defensive extra point off a blocked kick in the first quarter and then stopped two fourth-quarter Stevenson drives with interceptions on the first play.
