WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – For the second straight week, a Lycoming College football player has earned Beyond Sports Network Athlete of the Week honors, as juniorTanner Troutman’s two-interception effort against 16th-ranked Delaware Valley has helped him earn a spot on the team, the website announced on Monday, Oct. 7.

Troutman notched eight tackles and two interceptions to lead the Warrior defense past the Aggies. Troutman picked off one pass in the Lycoming endzone in the first quarter to halt an Aggie drive and added a pickoff with 91 seconds left that sealed the win for the Warriors. The safety, who was a First Team Preseason All-American, helped the Warriors force a season-high four turnovers in the win.

Last week, both senior defensive tackle Dwight Hentz (Halifax, Pa./Halifax) and kicker Zack Czap (Philipsburg, Pa./Philipsburg-Osceola) earned slots on the BSN weekly honor roll.

The Warriors (4-1 overall, 4-0 MAC) will have another tough test on Saturday, Oct. 12, when the team heads to Lebanon Valley for a 1 p.m. tilt. It will also serve as Homecoming for the Dutchmen, who enter the game with a 4-1 overall mark and a 3-1 league mark.
