Troutman earns slot on D3football.com Team of the Week

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – With his second career two-interception game against a Top-25 opponent, Lycoming College junior safety Tanner Troutman (Hegins, Pa./Tri-Valley) has earned his second selection to the D3football.com Team of the Week, the website announced on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

 Troutman notched eight tackles and two interceptions to lead the Warrior defense past 16th-ranked Delaware Valley on Saturday, Oct. 5. Troutman picked off one pass in the Lycoming endzone in the first quarter to halt an Aggie drive and added a pickoff with 91 seconds left that sealed the win for the Warriors. The safety, who was a First Team D3football.com Preseason All-American, helped the Warriors force a season-high four turnovers in the win.

Last week, both senior defensive tackle Dwight Hentz (Halifax, Pa./Halifax) and kicker Zack Czap (Philipsburg, Pa./Philipsburg-Osceola) earned slots on the D3football.com Team of the Week for their effort in a win over 24th-ranked Widener. Troutman also picked up the Team of the Week honors for a two-pick game against Widener on Oct. 23, 2012.
