Photos from the Past: Head Football Coach Frank Giardi Tribute for 250th Win

Williamsport, PA - Tribute was paid to head football coach Frank Girardi, one of the winningest coaches in NCAA history, at Lycoming College’s annual football awards banquet. Girardi was recognized for becoming only the 17th coach at any NCAA football level to win 250 games.

The milestone was met November 16, 2005, during an over time victory against rival Susquehanna Universtiy. According to the Lycoming College website, “The Dean of the College, Dr. John Piper, completed a rare collection by presenting Girardi with one of the game balls from his 250th win. The front of the ball was painted blue with white and gold lettering that marked the occasion.”
