Williamsport, PA - I have been working on a book for over a year about Lycoming Football. The draft version is entitled "The Pursuit of Greatness" which will highlight How Frank Girardi Built The Lycoming Football Legacy. It is one of the hardest ventures I have ever pursued. Since I am an accountant by trade and not known for my prose, it has been extremely difficult for me to write this book. I have still committed myself to finish this book and continue to preserver.
I have always had an idea of what they call "Crowd Sourcing" this book. For Lycoming College and Lycoming Football, that means letting those involved in the program, alumni and friends contribute to the chapters. That is where you come in! How about thinking about being a contributor. Have a great story that needs to be told. I really want them. The book already contains stories of victory, tragedy, perseverance, forgiveness, tears, joy and disruption that all came together for greatness.
My plan is to publish each chapter in the draft version here on LycomingFootball.com and I would appreciate your contributions, additions and historical corrections. I have interviewed Frank Girardi a number of times along with some family members. I have interviewed Mike Clark, Steve Wiser, and Dr. James E. Douthat and have gathered other information.
