Lycoming Football Has Plenty Of Players To Choose From

Williamsport, PA - We are ten days until the Warriors start their 2018 campaign and they have a big decision to make. Who will be their starting quarterback(s). This is always one of the toughest decisions a head coach has to make when a senior quarterback has graduated. We were looking at the roster and noticed that there are plenty to choose from, make that 10 choices. This is what we know about each quarterback:

1 Christoff Minott

1 Jr QB Christoff Minott
2017: Appeared in six games as a wide receiver … caught six passes for 39 yards … had three catches and 22 yards against Lebanon Valley … had two rushes for five yards.

2016: A member of the junior varsity squad. 

High School: A two-year letterwinner as a quarterback on the football team at Upper Darby … completed 85-of-181 passes for 1,678 yards and 13 touchdowns as a senior, earning second-team all-league and all-county honors … also ran for 666 yards and seven touchdowns … threw for 1,088 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior and ran for 574 yards and 12 scores … played in the Hero Bowl … earned one letter in indoor track and field and two in baseball.

High School: A three-year letterwinner in football and basketball at Dumont … team MVP senior year … named second team all-league … completed 53-of-116 for 662 yards and four touchdowns as a senior … ran 51 times for 204 yards and 10 touchdowns … averaged 12.0 points per game in basketball as a senior.

2017: Appeared in two games as a quarterback … also played quarterback on the junior varsity squad.
 
2016: Appeared in four games as a quarterback on the junior varsity squad. 

High School: A two-year letterwinner and starter at quarterback at Reading ... led team to first winning season in 11 years in first year as a starter in 2014 after rushing for 507 yards and 11 touchdowns ... an honorable mention all-league selection as a junior ... threw for 493 yards and five touchdowns that season ... scored seven touchdowns and ran for 529 yards as a senior ... played on White team in Berks Senior All-Star Classic.

It looks like it is an open season for the starting position since there is little college football experience in the list above. It will be a building year for the offensive helm position. There will be surprises I'm sure as you never know when that star comes out of the pack to make a difference that secures the job.
