Sr WR Ryan Umpleby |
Umpleby helped key Lycoming’s 43-42 upset win over No. 19 Delaware Valley, as he notched 11 catches for 207 yards, becoming the first player in program history to notch three 200-yard games in a career and the first to have a 200-yard game in back-to-back years.
The senior wide receiver notched one of the biggest catches of the game when he hauled in an 11-yard touchdown pass with 56 seconds left to bring the Warriors within two points in the three-point win.
Umpleby appears destined to finish his career third in school history in several categories, entering today’s game with 2,380 receiving yards and 157 receptions and fourth with 20 touchdowns. With 1,183 career kick return yards, he is 40 yards shy of the school record of 1,223 set by Craig Needhammer (2011-14). With 3,878 career all-purpose yards, he needs 122 more yards to become the fourth player in school history to post 4,000 in a career.
The Warriors wrap up their season on Saturday, Nov. 14, when they host Misericordia at 1 p.m. at David Person Field.
