Delaware Valley College senior tailback Kyle Schuberth and junior placekicker Brandon Snyder received weekly accolades for their performances in the Aggies’ 41-23 win over Stevenson University on September 28.
Schuberth was named the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Offensive Player of the Week and was also recognized as one of the top offensive players by Beyond Sports Network (BSN). Snyder, who was selected as the MAC Special Teams Player of the Week seven days ago, earned a spot on this week’s Honor Roll.
In just his second game of the season (he missed the first two with an injury), Schuberth carried the ball 37 times for 214 yards and four touchdowns with 181 of the yards coming in the second half. The rushing touchdown total tied a Delaware Valley while the yardage was the fourth-highest in a single game.
Snyder had an 11-point effort against Stevenson as he hit both of his field goals attempts (31 and 32 yards) and was a perfect 5-for-5 in extra-point tries. This followed last week’s eight-point effort where his 25-yard field goal as time expired gave the Aggies a 20-17 win at Albright College.
Delaware Valley, ranked as high as 16th in one national Division III poll, is a perfect 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the MAC. The Aggies will travel to Lycoming College (3-1, 3-0) and battle the Warriors for sole possession of first place in the conference on Saturday, October 5.
