Needhammer, Mihoci honored by USA College Football

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Lycoming College juniors Craig Needhammer (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) and Ryan Mihoci (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) each earned honorable mention plaudits from USA College Football, as the organization released its players of the week on Wednesday, Sept. 25.

Needhammer rushed for a career-high 182 yards and three touchdowns to lead Lycoming’s football team to a 52-14 win against Misericordia on Sept. 21. He rushed just 16 times to rack up the 182 yards, an amazing 11.4 yards per carry while only playing in the first half. He scored on touchdown runs of 21, 23 and 36 yards, giving him four on the season and 19 in his career. Needhammer also outrushed the nation’s leading rusher in the game, as the Warrior defense held Jeff Puckett to 43 yards.


Ryan Mihoci had great game against Misericordia
Mihoci recorded an interception and recovered a fumble to lead the Warrior defense in the win against Misericordia. He also helped defense allow a season-low 197 yards, including 157 on the ground to the nation’s second-leading rushing offense.

The Warriors get back in action on Saturday, Sept. 28, when they head to No. 24 Widener for a1 p.m. tilt.
