Warriors travel for finale at Stevenson in a 12pm kickoff

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - After falling in its first three games, the Lycoming College football team will look for its fifth win in its final seven when it visits Stevenson for a 12 p.m. contest in the season finale on Saturday, Nov. 11, at Mustang Stadium.


The Warriors (4-5 overall, 4-4 MAC) are coming off a narrow 20-17 loss to Lebanon Valley. Senior Chase Williams tossed for 226 yards and a touchdowns and junior Nick Costello finished with four receptions for 127 yards and a touchdown to lead the offense.

The Mustangs (5-4 overall, 5-3 MAC) posted a 44-12 win over Wilkes in its last outing. Junior Dan Williams threw for 446 yards and five touchdowns to lead the team.

Warrior Notes
• With a win, the Warriors can guarantee a .500 season for the first time since 2014.

• With 13 field goals made, sophomore Jamie Fisher needs one more to break the single-season school record set by John Phillips (1990).

• Senior Chase Williams found junior Nick Costello for a school-record 99-yard touchdown reception against Lebanon Valley.

• With 1,282 all-purpose yards this year, sophomore Dante Gipson needs 53 more yards to reach the top 10 in school history.

• With 79 tackles this year, senior Mike Ward is set to become the first Warrior to lead the team in tackles in three straight years since Bill Small did it from 1989-91. 

• Junior Nick Costello needs 21 more receiving yards to become the eighth player in school history to post 1,500 in a career.
