Mitch Rupert on Lycoming football: Clark striving for success

Williamsport, PA - Nobody knows better than Lycoming head coach Mike Clark about the struggles the Warriors' football team has endured this year. He strives for much better than the 2-5 record they hold.

He strives for more because he played in the hey day of Lycoming football under legendary head coach Frank Girardi. Clark strives for more because he understands the expectations which come with playing and coaching football at Lycoming College.

Things aren't perfect. They're far from it in fact. And Clark understands the frustration of the fans. Now in his eighth season as the Warriors' head coach, he's used to getting emails from fans voicing both praise and concern for the course of the football team.

Some of those comments have gotten to the head coach this year. There's likely nobody who wants success for the football program more than Clark. His job is tied directly to the results of the football team.
